How to Get Diesel Generator Set NOC in India? Need Help

Hello everyone,

I’m planning to install a diesel generator (DG set) for backup power in my unit, but I recently came to know that I need a Diesel Generator Set NOC from the Pollution Control Board.

I’m a bit confused about the process Can anyone guide me on:

• What documents are required for DG set NOC?
• Is it mandatory for all generator sizes?
• How much time does approval usually take?
• Do I need to install any pollution control equipment?

From what I’ve heard, things like emission norms, noise levels, and proper installation matter a lot. But I’m not sure how to handle the compliance part.

If someone has already gone through this process, please share your experience. It would really help beginners like me
